A destructive affair.

For me it was only a brief affair. I got to know Tanja during a sales conference. Whenever I was visiting her hometown, we used to meet every now and again. As soon as Tanja wanted more, I broke up our relationship. That was the end of the world for her. In front of our company head office, she would wait for me and pester me: “I was the man of her dreams, and we were meant for each other”. That continued for weeks, also over the mobile phone.

One evening she showed up in front of my apartment. I have no idea how she found out about my address. I ignored her, fatally. She expressed her rage by scratching the hood of my car and destroyed the front tires. A couple of days later she sliced the tires of my replacement car. Contacting the police and filing a complaint didn’t help much so far. Currently I have the fourth car. My job as a sales person suffers extremely from this stalking.

I want back control.

Nowhere I feel safe for him. Whether at home or at work. I suffer from fear attacks, have nightmares, and do not feel comfortable to leave my house. That is going on for five months now. It is worst whenever he is stalking me early in the morning on my way to work and even shows up standing closely behind me at the bakery shop. That is the reason I don’t go shopping anymore and order everything online to be delivered at home. Lars and I used to be a couple for a little less than one year. He used to be insanely jealous.

He permanently observed and checked me, even when I was checking the mailbox. At some point I managed to separate myself from this relationship with him, but I didn’t manage to get rid of him. To the contrary. Even the police were involved several times. Currently I am in therapy to overcome my fear and have found professional help. Because I want my life back.
